Committee Members

Formed in 2001, The Kirkland Lake Festivals Committee is an organization of volunteers. The committee hosts Kirkland Lake's 18-day Winter Carnival (late Feb & early March) plus Kirkland Lake's Homecoming Week (late June & early July).

With the assistance of hundreds of volunteers, the committee organizes and hosts live concerts, pubs, family events, kids shows, sporting events, fish derbies, fireworks, Canada Day celebrations and other events for the people of Kirkland Lake and area.

The Kirkland Lake Festivals Committee is a registered non-profit organization and operates as a subcommittee of The Corporation of the Town of Kirkland Lake.

Julie Richard

Owner/Operator of CJKL FM/CJTT FM. Past President of KL Rotary Club and KL Golf Club, Former Director for the KL Chamber of Commerce and Kirkland & District Hospital. Founding member & Past Chairman of KL Festivals. KL Festivals Director since 2001.

(Director, Heath & Safety Manager)

Director of Community Services for the Corporation of the Town of Kirkland Lake. Past President of Kirkland Lake Rotary Club. Chair of KLDCS School Council, Member of Grant Review Team for Ontario Trillium Foundation. KL Festivals Director since 2004.

Owner/Manager of St Cyr & Associates Insurance & Financial in Kirkland Lake. Director Kirkland & District Hospital Board, President of Kirkland & District Hospital Foundation, member of KL Kinsmen Club and The Frog's Breath Foundation local advisory committee. Liz Robazza

Retired Senior Nurse, Sexual Health Program at the Timiskaming Health Unit. KL Parks & Rec Ride team member and former member of Kirkland Lake Rotary Club. KL Festivals Director since 2009.

(Director, Canada Day Coordinator)

Owner/Operator of Goldland Pizza and Billiards in Kirkland Lake. Volunteer with Hockey Heritage North Foundation and Festival of Trees. KL Festivals Director since 2010.

Administration Superintendent at AuRico Gold Inc.'s Young Davidson mine. Former Director of Finance at Temiskaming Hospital, former CFO of Grant Forest Product Inc. and former Vice President, Finance of Kirkand Lake Gold Inc. Chartered Account since 1992. KL Festivals Director since 2012.

Facility Administrator at Heritage North. Graduated from University of Guelph in 2010 with a BA honours English. Director with Kirkland Lake Rotary Club. KL Festivals Director since 2013.
