About KL Festivals

Formed in 2001, the Kirkland Lake Festivals Committee is a non-profit organization. The committee of volunteers hosts Kirkland Lake's Winter Carnival plus Kirkland Lake's Homecoming Week.

​

With the assistance of hundreds of volunteers and partnerships with several local organizations, KL Festivals organizes and hosts live concerts, pubs, family events, kids shows, sporting events, fish derbies, fireworks, Canada Day celebrations and other events for the people of Kirkland Lake and area.

​

The Kirkland Lake Festivals Committee's army of volunteers received the 2015 CJKL Citizen of the Year award. Both Kirkland Lake Homecoming & Kirkland Lake Winter Carnival have been named Top 100 festivals by Festivals & Events Ontario.

​

KL Festivals has presented concerts featuring The Tragically Hip, Hedley, Blue Rodeo, Serena Ryder, Arkells, Walk Off The Earth, Tom Cochrane, Simple Plan, Chantal Kreviazuk, Sam Roberts Band, Marianas Trench, Bruce Cockburn, The Sheepdogs, Classified, Alan Doyle, The Trews, Down With Webster, April Wine, Carly Rae Jepsen, David Wilcox, Jim Cuddy, Colin James, Bobby Bazini, Kim Mitchell, David Myles, Alan Frew, the late Jeff Healey and more.
